Look for the shelf labeled missing parts? I just put a MAF back on the 5.3 shelf yesterday. I can bring that along too.

What time on Thursday?
Yes please! I'm sure it'll show up at some point but who knows when that'll be.

6:30-7 is when i try to get there

new little pulley looks good, hopefully it'll work.

measured out ~104" with a string for the accessory belt, came across this nice site.
http://www.daycoproducts.com/online-catalog-1?part_type=20&length_search=104&num_ribs=6

so i have a 103.27" and a 103.75" belt on their way, hopefully i don't need a second round.

well i ended up buying 10 belts, returning 9 of them so far, ordering one more belt. And it'll be good with one or the other remaining belt.
it'll either be the 107.5" belt i have now, or the 107" belt on its way.
the 106.5" belt was too tight to install.

whew.

i did get the throttle cable bracket done. Thanks Harley for supplying parts!

That's no small amount of belts and there is not much left of that bracket haha

Did you just keep going to a larger belt until it started fitting?

i went up all the way to 110" in ~1" increments, and then now i'm 'filling in' the gap where i think is ideal.

haha yea, the bent flange went the wrong way on the stock bracket too so i had to "flip" the flange.

took a lot more effort to make it look smooth and all the welded together bends tangential because having it end up in steps looked terrible

I could have sworn I went through this before but after seeing a post on a FB group about needing an extended pilot bearing for mating the blazer nv3500 to an LS motor I'm second guessing what I've done.
https://www.tickperformance.com/gm-extended-pilot-bushing-swap-applications/?fbclid=IwAR0bqW7KcheS4s3Kky7qIUYBdbqqh3LhTUp2KK9DdnNPzRT5-3s7q9YXzWI

Does anyone remember if this was looked into in the past?

Specs:
04 blazer NV3500
Sachs NFW1050 flywheel
Luk 04-205 clutch kit (applicable for 01-07+ 4.8, 5spd silverado)

I currently have the pilot bearing that came with the clutch kit ball bearing style.

should i be dropping the trans again to measure input shaft engagement?

I don't remember looking into this before.

Is there a difference between the SBC style and LSx style NV3500?

We know there is on the 4L60e side of things. You ran a spacer for that in your long bed from what I remember.

yea the big difference in the gen1 engine vs the gen3+ engines is the crank face is ~.4" forwards (or shorter) on the gen3+ engines, relative to the
So the 4l60e was an easy fix with the .4" hughes spacer to push the snout of the torque converter backwards, along with using a dished flexplate
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/hup-hp3795

the later gen 1 transmissions are a touch confusing because gm was using them on the gen3 4.8 v8s in the silverados also.
I have a new theory that the roughly 99-05ish nv3500s might have had longer input shafts than the older ones but i can't find anything to back up that claim.

LS motors also have 2 locations where a pilot bearing can sit.
https://ls1tech.com/forums/manual-transmission/1166414-pilot-bearings-big-vs-small.html

I am using the "big bearing" which is also what i used between the 5.3-t56 in the rx7.

Way to be Rentedmule!

Maybe I should measure my '00 to compare, but it's still bolted up to the 4.3 from when I pulled them out of the Blazer haha

Sorry for taking so long, seems like I haven't had a free minute in a month:

Hard to take pics and measure at the same time so angles are bad - the tip of the input shaft protrudes 6 mm beyond the face of the bellhousing.

Let me know if you need something else
