Manual Trans Shifter upgrade?

I'm considering one of the short shifter kits that are on ebay right now and have been reviewed on S10F.  Anybody here have any experience with them or any other shifter?  Anybody got any other suggestions.  I like the look of the hurst stick and cleaning up the shift pattern would be nice too.  I swear some little gremlin keeps movin 3rd gear on me.... ::)

What trans? I made my own short shifter for the camrao t5.

sorry, forgot the most important part :-[  It's an 03 2.2 with the NV1500 5spd.  will probably be pretty much stock motor til it dies, then everything between the headlights and the tailgate is goin away.

That's what I did but mine was to short of a throw the first time...lol
