SSR 10-bolt torsen diff

I have no proof aside from a facebook post, but it would seem that the SSRs came with a typical 10 bolt diff, but with a Torsen instead of the g80.
this may be a good cheap option for the guys running the 8.6 diff.
might be worth someone's time to do some research on this

Would there be enough of them in the used market to make it a viable option? There aren't many SSR's around and those that own one seem unlikely to mod / wreck.

Service manual says you're right. Parts catalog doesnt say one way or the other, but does list the diff as discontinued.

car-part shows 2 hits on 'carrier (differential)', call for price. Several hits for full auto axle, lowest at $250 in IL. Several hits for full manual axle, lowest at $675 in VA.


Good luck on those pick and pull SSR's.
