Welcome!

What is the overall direction for the truck? What handling info/ideas are you looking for?

Best way to add pictures is to use image tags (example below) to link pictures hosted elsewhere, like flickr or another photo sharing site. There's a small icon in the toolbar with a picture of mona lisa that will insert the tags for you too.

Code: [Select]
[img]flickr.com/image.jpg[/img]
The other option is to add an attachment, but the size is limited to 900kb.

Hello folks, starting a new project. Hope to get great info and ideas. Picked up this 91 squarebody from a old man for $500 and it runs and drives. currently has the 2.5 Iron Duke and 5 speed. picked up a aluminum 6.2 and 6 speed auto from a 2011 Camaro SS. Can't wait to get this thing done. I have been doing the fix up stuff like steering, weather stripping and minor electrical repairs while I gather the misc parts for the swap. Tring to add pictures but I am computer iliterate.

Basically, yes. It put me right about stock ZQ8 ride height. I would have to add back the bumpstops to prevent the upper link from hitting the bed floor.

Yes, this is with stock upper arm.

I consider the same for lower bushing as well.  But I believe it might get too rough of a ride.

All this is still on stock, no zq8 suspension.

I think I'll go with stock lower bushing but get leaf spring bushing/shackle made with delrin.

Fresh stock rubber bushings aren't a bad choice for street/daily trucks. I think much of the complaint about rubber bushings is due to them being worn out when the bushings are replaced with something else.

On the flip side I do think the free movement of a Delrin bushing can also give a level of a good ride. The rubber bushings resist movement, but even after torqueing down to spec on the Delrin, my LCAs moved freely. I did see an improvement in ride once I got the shocks dialed in on my Blazer, but it also wasn't an apples to apples comparison from what I had before as I changed many parts of the suspension (and also didn't have rubber lower bushings before).

I plan on getting new set of brake caliper.   Likely going with Powerstop.  Though has anyone run with complete rotor/pad kit?

I tend to use Duralast Gold(Lifetime replacement) with new rotor.

I got mine from Ridetech, although it was for their arms I believe they are the same bushing size as factory. Give them a call and they can help you out.

That's a really good price compared to GW.  Though GW is click and buy for added cost vs a little hurdle that is worth the price.

I'll have to email them for the leaf spring/shackle bushing for same setup as you did.

I'm assuming this is with the stock upper control arm?

Any upgrades to your lower bushings too? I really liked the Delrin LCA bushings I got from Ridetech. I think they improved the ride with how smooth the control arm moves.

ON stock or tubular arms?

Mine are tubular, but from my memory and understanding it's the same size bushing as factory.  If you're interested, give them a call, as they were really helpful and informative when I did.
