Interesting, I have been looking at the Sport Comp-2s, this might be a little low wear for my kind of mileage, but if I keep my Silverado, I'll bee looking for something exactly like these!

These tires have a very nice tread to them for grip.  I have been a big fan of the falcon azenis rt615s and had to move away from them due to reduced life from heat cycles in the new compound and the rival has a large contact patch design like that.

I made the switch to BFG and tried a full set of the sport comp 2's this year starting in august and have been very pleased with the life and the grip.  These rivals are a lower tread wear and are rated at the 200 like the azenis and some of the other autocross/race tires on the market.

I can't wait to get my hands on a set after seeing them in person.

Interesting.  The rt615s or toyo R1Rs are the weapon of choice for the auto-x guys I race with.

R1R was my original choice, but since I will be doing a bunch of street driving as well, i could use a hihger treadwear tire.
plus these rivals are priced UNDER the direzzas

Yep, I really loved my rt615's and I also ran them daily year round (they do not like temps below 60 lol).  Unfortunately  when they went to the rt615"k" they changed the compound and I found you could heat cycle them after a few auto cross events before you ran out of tread, and they are a factory shaved tire.

I have high hopes for the BFG rivals.  Have you guys seen pictures of them yet?

Robert

A couple, Top Speed even has a review up. It's a pretty basic looking tread, but I guess all the magic happens in the compound and wall design.

Looks like a crappy selection of 17" sizes - if they had a 275/40-17 I'd order a set as soon as they hit the shelves.

I saw your post in that thread, figured you would beat me to the link, lol.  I'm RS_Customs on PT.

I had considered getting a set of Rivals, but then I changed my mind when I priced them out. They were nearly double what I paid for my Potenza RE760s. lol

A few guys in my auto-X club have been running them for a while now and they rave about how good they are. They're apparently comparable in grip to a Toyo RA1 but last a whole lot longer on the street.

I don't think you can really compare the re760s to the rivals. RE11s are the competitors to the Rivals.
