Turner's cube
« on: February 08, 2013, 01:21:52 PM »
Last year I made my girlfriend a stainless rose for valentine's day. http://protourings10.com/index.php?topic=980.0

This year I decided to do less fab work, more machining.

I've seen this design before, basically cubes entrapped within cubes, and impossible to get out.

I've always thought it was a wood whittling project, but after thinking about it and finding more information on the internetz, i figured i could make it on a plain old bridgeport mill.

So, here it is, on a simple stand I made and punched in letters
Again, sharing because i am quite proud of how it turned out, and it only took me 3 tries to get it right. (failures consisted of smaller cubes that in fact were possible to get out of the larger cube)

my blazer is cooler than your s10

Cool!
Never run out of real estate, traction and ideas at the same time.
