AutoX 10-11-09 second event of the season

Awesome event yesterday(10-11-09) Placed 11th in my class, and 83rd overall. Not bad truck did really well even on the taller tires. Skidpad 4 was great! Finally cured after 10 months, lol, very little graveling/sand on the track. Next events are gonna be a lot of fun. Gonna have to soften up my suspension for next event it was really bumpy out there. Fastest Comp run was a 44.254/ And I wanted extra seat time so I paid for TimeOnly runs at the end of the day. And had 3 runs, managed to stay consistant with my first 2 runs around 44.3xx/44.4xx but managed to pull a 43.9xx on my last run in TimeOnly's. Was extremely excited about that run. that put me within 6 seconds of the fastest car out there on DOT rated tires with my all-season tires. Which is huge!!! Anyways here's the results, pics, and video of my last comp run and my fastest run of the day.

Which tracks do they open up at firebird for these? I've been on a couple of the Bondurant tracks a couple years ago, but none of the tracks actually in firebird, except when they set-up the pits and such for the drag races on them.

Skid pad 4 is the normal spot. "Sometimes" we use Firebird west track, and yesterday was a NASA event and they used Firebird East for an autocross event. And we've used the Bondo skid pad before, when Skid pad 4 was still in shitty shape.

Ok, interesting. Firebird east, I think they call it the GT track, or used to, is a pretty tight track, and dead flat. It'd be interesting to see what they set up on skid4, it would almost have to be pretty tight as well. I've never been on Firebird East, but I'd tend to bet it's dead flat too. I'll call a couple relatives, see if they still have friends and bondurant and see what it would run to get one of their tracks for the day. They've got a little track right up against the 10 that I really like.

yea Firebird East has some elevation changes, and the West track is definitely dead flat! The bondurant track looks cool, but I've never been on it.

That would suck. We've been lucky with having Firebird open to us. There is another location that we're hoping opens again. It's 4 times the size! But they got shut down and put in court by the local idiots who built homes that backed the racetrack and an Air force base.... Luckily after 5yrs of being in court they got a decision overturned so hopefully in the next few months something good will come from that and they'll clean up the track and skid pad for us to use again.
