Nice.

There's still the cost of a bellhousing, clutch and clutch hydraulics. Are the LT1 units that cheap nowdays that its worth buying and converting?

As long as we're on the topic of T56, I had found this link a while ago. I've got similar symptoms in a similar setup with my truck- numerically high FDR and driveline vibes in both overdrive gears. Pretty confident its not in the driveshaft, axle, wheels or pinion angle, so I plan to look at this... someday.

I've seen LT1 t56s under $900 on CL before, so if LS t56 prices have gone over the $1500 mark it might be worth it.

and wow that's interesting. I've been feeling vibrations at 70+ mph speeds that I am still trying to narrow down, assuming it was driveline angles.
I know it happens in both 5th and 6th, not sure if I've tried 4th to confirm.

(FDR of 4.10)

I know what I'll be focusing on once it warms up....

Good info. Also good to know if I ever trash the LT1 in my firebird and decide to swap to an LSx.
