I enjoy things like this popping up

 1998 Chevy S10 Prerunner - $5200

1998 Chevrolet S10/Sonoma Prerunner - $5200 OBO

Originally a California desert truck, extremely unique.
5 speed manual, 33" tires, widened bedsides and one-piece hood, pre runner bumper, engine cage, long travel King shocks, overhead lights, RWD, full-size bed-mounted spare wheel/tire. Very wide truck, gets a ton of attention here in Michigan.

I was recently re-wiring the battery cables which the previous owner told me I should replace since they were becoming frayed. After finishing up the new wiring, I used two black cables instead of one red and one black and mistakenly reversed the terminals. The result is that the truck cranks but will not receive spark. Other S10 guys tell me that this is the ECU that got fried and needs replaced, and quoted me about $200 for a new one. The battery is new and healthy. Starter and exhaust were recently replaced as well. Since my plans to have a space to work on the truck fell through, I need to sell it as-is instead of storing it for the time being.

Please don't waste my time with an offer of scrap price. I have a significant amount of money in the truck and no I'm not going to entertain offers of $1500.

Very wide may be an understatement.

i like how the tires sit entirely outside the body line.
looks like the rear is close to stock though.
I'm gonna go take a look at this tomorrow.
Definitely not worth his asking price, but could be a fun side build depending on how well built the front end is.
It looks pretty cool for sure.

No mention of engine work, but theres lots of intake tube there. I'll hope to hear its boosted.

Everything electrical I've worked on is designed and validated to tolerate a reverse polarity battery installation so I'm not sure about his ECU diagnosis.

There is 70% of a ZR2 axle sitting out in the field if you do pick it up.

I offered 1300, he didn't bite. It's not really a prerunner, and it's in terrible shape for any regular driving duty, and for a California truck that came to mi last year it's rust is on par with other Michigan trucks.
Wiring is a terrible mess, wasn't worth trying to troubleshoot. Brake lines are a total hack job, blower box is shattered most likely from the tire hitting it, stock drum axle with giant wheel spacers, rear shocks are no longer attached to their bushings. Interior is a mess... yea.. not exactly a 5k+ truck.
Too bad, maybe one day I'll build a long travel truck. That would be fun
