You make good damn fast progress, glad to see you're keeping your hands busy.

I'd make faster progress if I could use one of the benches during the work day, or if I had all 7 nights off a week. Was working the restaurant Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights, but not Friday anymore, boss there had to cut back a little or he wouldn't be able to afford me at all.

The plans for tonight are to pull the flywheel, rebuild or replace the starter, and if either one of those can't happen then I'll skip to putting the air box and top shroud back on for mockup and start making the hood fit right.
Also going to see if I can't start mocking up the new steering. That should be interesting. At the frame I'll weld some tabs and a bearing cup for the bottom of the new steering shaft, at the top I think I'll grab some sheetmetal off one of the parts tractors and double or triple the thickness of the dash from the chassis to around the steering shaft, roughly a 3Wx7H inch piece, but more than likely it will be much wider. I'm thinking triangular piece. Something to keep from twisting the dash when I steer, since as I said earlier I'm planning on going to atv style handlebars.

Anyway, getting ready for work now, talk later.

Update time:

The new motor is on, with a rebuilt carb, and dual straight pipes.
5" pulley in place of the 9" pulley on the trans.

It appears I have a Spicer 4360-48 transaxle

Hood cut to fit...for the most part. I need to form a hoodscoop of sorts for the top, and cut the sides as well for the motor to clear.

The pipes currently come straight out the back

The current controls will go away as soon as I switch to handlebars.

Pontiac Gran Prix led third brake light I'm going to use for a taillight. Not sure how I'm going to mount it yet though..

I picked up a pair of pipe adapters and a nice chrome tip. Waiting for the other one to come in at Napa. I'm unsure yet if I'm going to keep them going straight out the back (but under the axle instead of where they sit now) or put them out the sides in front of the tires. OPINION TIME!!! Back or sides?

This 40lb brick came off the front of the Ariens I picked up. I've decided to just scrap the Ariens instead of fixing it back up. Would have taken too much time and work to rewire it and replace the bodywork. I might keep the hydro for a spare, but I might just sell it instead.

Whatcha think? Bigger tires? :D

Hey...this looks good.....wish it was mine lol

I got the boat trailer up on the other shop trailer, and pulled the axle off.

Then I loaded all my scrap up as well.

I've decided to forego the truck bed and just go with a flatbed.

Definitely should have been the welcome page for PTT, at least until it goes live.

Keeping Busy Project Number 2 (tractor) is gone. Sold it today for 200, which is pretty much what I put into it.  Money goes towards my bike, another payment tomorrow means 511.99 down and 424.51 to go WOOOOHOOOO!!!!

Yeah, I'm a little pissed though, I went to a bank recommended by my chiropractor friend. They wouldn't give me a short term personal loan, since apparently they don't consider unemployment as income. Their reasoning: "We don't consider unemployment as income, since unemployment ends".  Woopee fucking doo. Yes it ends, but I'm asking for 600 bucks, not several thousand. Goddamn. It's not like it's my only income. I work part time at the restaurant too.  Fuck banks.
