I don't know too aweful much about the newer computer controlled transmissions, but I know higher line pressures, and higher throttle required for downshift are both good for longevity. I can give an example for the 700R4, 4 to 3rd downshift will normally happen wtih 50% throttle, however at that low of throttle you don't get pressure up very quickly, if you change the TV plunger and the 2-4 band pressure spring you can bump that downshift to 85% throttle which will help keep from warping the sun gear when it's getting beaten back and forth between 3rd and 4th on the track.

We were definitely wrong on the original location of the PCM.

cool, thats where I started to think it might be after laying it out like this


I think I'll be extending ALL ecu wires and power wires about 6 feet to get it into the cab.
only problem with that is, i think i might need to order more wire lol
my blazer is cooler than your s10
