exhaust joints
« on: December 14, 2010, 10:46:52 AM »
Hey guys, as a lot of you know im currently running open headers, and ive started brainstorming how to run a bit more pipe.
problem is, bought flanges are expensive.

especially low profile ones like Vband clamp style ones.

and I need low profile for it to fit without lifting the cab (something i dont want to do)

do you guys have any good ideas on methods of doing this?

what do you think about motorcycle-style, slip-over and springs on hooks?

this will be for a 3" pipe
my blazer is cooler than your s10

I would just use butt joint band clamps, or lap joint if you need be.

FYI I moved the cast LS1 manifolds from Al's barn to my garage if you're interested in using those at some point.
