Oil Filter Information

This guy took a bunch of oil filters apart and showed that not all filters are built the same and that there are only a few manufacturers of oil filters.

This is his opinions and recommendations:

Interesting notes:
-ACDelco filters used to be a nice filter, but now they are just cheapos that cost the same. I noticed the filter change a few years ago.
-Mobil 1 and K&N filters are the same exact filter, you are just paying extra for the nut welded on top of the k&n.

I've seen quite a few filters cut apart by engine builders and circle track guys, I can say for sure he's pretty much spot on.

Its amazing how much the quality of a good filter has gone down. All for a buck.
