Urethane front bumper cover over cut\lightened stock bumper?

I've been wating to get a painted front bumper for a while, and while it would be cheaper to find one in a JY and throw it on, I'm liking the idea of losing a pretty fair chunk of nose weight with either a fiberglass front bumper $$$ or a urethane bumper cover $$ over a cut up and lightened stocker. I obviously don't plan on hitting anything, but shit does tend to happen.

Thoughts?

PFFFT, nevermind, just checked the price on the front bumpers, $130 brand new from up22 and it weighs 4lbs.
