personally im a big fan of the salisbury style.mainly because they make so much sense to tune

because it's the only style i'm familiar with :) truck will be built with an open diff until i get the money to put the posi in

Where can I find an illustration or some information on how they work? I'm not familiar with that style at all.

The cliffnotes version is that within this style of differential, there are two sets of angles that determine how much lock is applies under power and coasting. 45° gives you maximum lockup while 90° gives you none. Anything in between gives you varying amounts of lock. The two I listed are among the most common.
