What about that aluminum plate that your CRX top hat is bolted to? Is that what was recycled from the old mount?
So it's a bolt on stud essentially? haha Just trying to understand what I'm looking at in the cross section.

yup, exactly on both accounts
the red is the eye of the damper. black is the 2 delrin bushing tophats, green in gray are the aluminum spacers that work as compression limiters and lateral stops

got a new aluminum hood and cut a big hole in it
also laid down a bunch of sound deadening inside, which seems to have made a huge difference

not a true FTD, but FTD if you disqualify non-full fendered cars at the last autoX.

There's also quite the representation of Mazda up in the top 10.

run1 today, pretty happy with front tire placement, looks like rear tire placement on the left side is good, but +2 I suppose on the right side.... too bad, I woulda liked this time: 31.790 +2 cones
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJGZGIackjI&feature=youtu.be
run2 was a DNF...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWfBktwcpEs&feature=youtu.be
run3 was the only clean run of the day which ends up being the best time... 32.201, could've done way better.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjEuFpCCCDU&feature=youtu.be
and then run 4 and 5 were DNF and dirty again...
I just need a lot more back end stability. I did increase toe in out back a touch, what is a typical increment to change that? Or am I asking the wrong crowd here?

Rear toe should be done by the 1/16th" on a car the size of an RX7. Even Vette guys often do it by the 1/16th.

found this, not my video, and no longer my car, but interesting to see how it did from the outside, since I even forgot the gopro.
apparently shifting really upsets the car!
