Arca Truck Headers
« on: January 30, 2012, 09:28:40 AM »
Hi fella's,

Check this out. I think they would work if a truck didn't have an AC box, and a few more bends made.

those headers look awesome. I looked into the series some, they use the iron duke and the 4.3

If you go onto www.racingjunk.com and search ARCA Truck there are a few great examples of the headers on the trucks.

If you goto the link above, its a great shot of under the hood on an ARCA Truck with these headers on it.
The Chevy 4.3's in the series are the cast blocks, but these guys all run the GMPP 23 degree heads, or the Brodix 23 degee heads.

I would be pretty cool to hang a steal body on to one of those chassis with lights and turn sigs.

The headers look like they're going up into the firewall there - is that the intended way to run them or did they swap them from side to side?

Here is the inside of the cab of that truck. http://s3.racingjunk.com/ui/7/62/22892627-915-undefined.jpg

Notice the absence of a passenger seat, or the floor over on that side? Also, check out the pedals.

Old thread but why not.....Most of us run 96+ Vortec heads....Those headers will not work in most street applications as they are intended for circle track. The driver's side header goes OVER the bellhousing at a 45 degree angle and meets the passenger side also at a 45 degree angle through the area where a passenger seat would be. They are staged primaries that go into 3" collectors. We typically Y them together into a single 3.5" outlet in front of the RR tire.
